New York, NY

Public sourceBlack-owned · Public source

Kente Royal Gallery is a Harlem gallery showing artists of the African diaspora, with a rotating exhibition program and regular events.

Phyllis and Dodji Gbedemah started it after a trip to Africa in 2018, around the concept of sankofa: the call for Black people removed from the continent to return, reconnect, and carry what they find back to their own communities.
