Big Blue Marble Bookshop
Philadelphia, PA
Big Blue Marble is very much a reflection of our neighborhood: racially and economically diverse, politically engaged, funny, and full of parents and grandparents looking for the best children's books. We have been serving Mt. Airy and beyond since 2005, tucked into Carpenter Lane in Northwest Philadelphia. Come on in and browse thousands of titles chosen with care, from literary fiction and poetry to LGBTQ+ books for kids, teens, and adults, plus feminist-centered science fiction and fantasy. Our webstore shows only a sliver of what fills our shelves, so the best way to discover your next read is to stop by and let our staff point you toward something you will love. In 2022 we added a cozy second-floor reading room and refreshed our kids' room, giving readers of every age a welcoming place to settle in. Prefer to shop from home? You can order through our website, Bookshop.org, and Libro.fm for audiobooks, call us to reserve a title for pickup, or use curbside service. We even offer limited delivery to medically homebound neighbors within our zone. However you find us, thank you for keeping an independent bookstore at the heart of the community.
