BookBurn Cafe and Social is a Filipino queer-owned cafe, bar, and bookshop in Orlando's Milk District, billed as the first Filipino gay-owned business in the city. Rooted in community, representation, and a love of culture and storytelling, it blends a speakeasy-inspired coffee house with a 16-tap craft beer bar and a curated cultural mercantile. By day guests come for coffee and Filipino-inspired small plates; by evening the space shifts into a social bar hosting live performances and LGBTQ+ community events. The retail boutique carries Filipino, Black, and Brown cultural products, from whole-bean Philippine coffee and statement apparel to books by local authors and titles that have faced bans. Warm seating, shelves of books, and a welcoming, inclusive atmosphere make it as much a creative sanctuary and gathering place as a place to eat and drink. Located at 2425 E. South St., BookBurn brings together food, drink, retail, and programming under one roof, celebrating culture, connection, and the freedom to read and be seen.
