C.D. Moody Construction Company is a Black-owned general contracting and construction management firm based in Atlanta, Georgia, founded in 1988 by C. David Moody, Jr. What began in a bedroom office has grown into one of the largest African-American-owned construction companies in America, with more than 35 years of experience and over 150 commercial projects delivered, valued at more than 3 billion dollars. A graduate of Morehouse College and Howard University, David Moody built the firm from its first joint-venture project at Underground Atlanta into a Black Enterprise BE 100s company. Our team specializes in aviation, collegiate, K-12, municipal, nonprofit, and retail facilities, along with historic renovations, data centers, and corporate campuses. We are proud of the landmarks we have helped shape, including Mercedes-Benz Stadium, the Atlanta History Center, the Ray Charles Performing Arts Center, and the Atlanta Cyclorama.
