Giampolo Law Group

Giampolo Law Group is an LGBTQ-owned firm founded by Angela Giampolo, practicing across Pennsylvania and New Jersey from offices in Philadelphia and Mount Laurel. Giampolo describes the firm as an LGBTQ+ law firm focused on helping the community it is a part of, and works publicly as a gay rights advocate under the name @yourgaylawyer.

The practice is unusually broad for a firm of this focus: estate planning, family law including divorce, custody and prenuptial agreements, business law and formation, real estate, litigation, and a dedicated LGBTQ+ practice covering adoptions, immigration, name changes and transgender law. That breadth means a client is rarely handed off at the point where one legal problem turns into two, which for LGBTQ+ clients happens more often than it should.

The firm also runs Caravan of Hope, an initiative aimed at making legal services reachable for LGBTQ+ people outside the cities, particularly in rural Pennsylvania. Distance is a real barrier in this area of law, because the people most likely to need a name change order or a second-parent adoption are often the least likely to have an affirming firm within driving distance. Virtual services are offered for the same reason.
