Henna Shoppe began as Art of Mehndi, the passion project of Neelam, an India-born artist and entrepreneur who traded a corporate career in business and accounting for the art she loves. In 2012 she opened her first small space near Arizona State University, starting with little more than a pop-up tent and a belief that art deserves a real future. From those humble beginnings, the shop has grown into a welcoming home for henna and mehndi body art created by a team of skilled artists. Whether you are celebrating a wedding, hosting a henna party, or simply want beautiful, temporary art on your skin, our artists bring intricate traditional and modern designs to life. Over the years we have expanded to support fellow makers, offering handmade jewelry, apparel, smudging tools, henna supplies, incense, and home decor alongside our body art. What started as one artist proving that there is a future in creativity has become a community platform for artisans across the Phoenix area.
