The Palm Springs Gay Softball League was organized in 2004 by founding fathers Tommie Douglas and Jim Hurst, beginning with four teams and about fifty players.
It now runs fourteen teams and more than two hundred participants across spring and fall seasons, with tournaments, a hall of fame and a place for every skill level.
