Pressed Roots is a Black-owned salon built for women with highly textured and natural hair, and we are proud to bring our silk press expertise to Houston. Founded by Piersten Gaines after she saw how few salons were truly trained to care for coils, curls, and kinks, we exist to change that. From 4C to 3A, fine loops to tight curls, our stylists are specialists, not generalists. We learn your hair, nourish it, and press it to a smooth, healthy finish that moves and lasts. Every visit is designed to feel like a luxury, express experience: warm, unhurried, and centered entirely on you. Our styling stations were made for textured hair, and our team is formally trained so you never have to explain your hair or hope for the best. Located in the Centre at Post Oak on Westheimer Road, our Houston studio pairs a calming, beautifully designed space with the kind of skill and respect our clients deserve.
