Rumbold & Seidelman, PLLC
7 Orchard Street, Nyack, NY 10960
Rumbold & Seidelman has practiced adoption and reproductive law since Nina Rumbold and Denise Seidelman founded it in 1996. Rumbold retired from practice in 2020. Clients come from across New York and New Jersey, and same-sex couples have been part of that work throughout.
Rumbold & Seidelman has a long history of representing members of the LGBTQ+ community in their family formation efforts. Their central warning is that a birth certificate is not a court order: other states are not obliged to honor it, and only an adoption or a judgment of parentage protects a family everywhere. Alongside that the practice covers agency and foster care adoption, international adoption, gestational surrogacy and donor conception.
Owner Denise Seidelman belongs to the Family Law Institute of the National LGBTQ+ Bar Association and is an emeritus board member of Family Equality.
