SPIbelt started with a run and a familiar problem: where do the keys, the phone and everything else go? The founder bought materials, sewed a prototype, and the belt was born in Austin in 2006.
The belt is fully adjustable and sits low and snug on the hips without bouncing, which is what makes it work for a walk, a hike, a long run or a marathon. It holds a phone, keys, an ID and energy gels and leaves both hands free.
The range now covers running belts, diabetic belts for pumps and supplies, kids' belts and travel accessories. Still born in Austin, still independently owned.
