Taylor's Tacos
Chicago, IL
Taylor's Tacos started with a craving. After chasing California street-style tacos out west, founder Taylor Mason came home to Chicago's West Side missing that flavor and decided to make it herself. The first taco came together in 2014, and by 2018 Taylor's Tacos was officially born, built alongside Maya Mason into the enterprise it is today. We are proud to be Chicago's first Black-owned, woman-owned, and queer-owned taco shop, and we cook like it. Think crispy corn tortillas loaded with extra-juicy chicken, savory steak, and our Awesome AF asparagus, finished with cilantro, cotija, bright pickled cabbage, and a squeeze of lime. It is street-style tacos with a whole lot of soul, the kind of food that brings a room together. From our shop to catering spreads and events all over the city, we bring color, flavor, and a whole lot of heart to every plate. Come hungry, leave happy, and taste what happens when Chicago roots meet West Coast inspiration. This is our take on the taco, and we are just getting started.
