Enhanced

Baton Rouge, LA

Public sourceBlack-owned · Public source

The Smokey Pit Smoke House, Eatery & Bar is a Baton Rouge barbecue house on Dallas Drive where meats are smoked low and slow over oak and sliced to order. The menu centers on big, beefy smoked beef ribs, dry-rubbed pork ribs glazed at the finish, brisket, pulled pork, sausage, Brisket Biscuits, and a smoked Angus burger, with Sir Smokey's signature blend seasoning steaks like the smoked ribeye and T-bone. House BBQ sauces, in original and habanero, and smoked beef tallow are bottled to take home. The Pit is also a living collection of vintage instruments, AV artifacts, and memorabilia gathered from studios, stages, flea markets, and estates. Its stage hosts jazz, blues, R&B, karaoke, spoken word, and trivia nights, and the space takes birthdays, corporate events, and private celebrations.
