Town Bar & Lounge
2001 Broadway, Oakland, CA 94607
Town Bar & Lounge is a QPOC-owned Art Deco bar and lounge in the heart of Uptown Oakland, set in the landmark I. Magnin & Co. building on Broadway. The room is built for lingering, with gold accents, warm lighting and cushy velvet seating, and the bar turns out colorful handcrafted cocktails made to reflect the vibrance of the community around it. Happy hour runs early in the evening, and the calendar regularly makes room for drag shows, queer cabarets and local talent nights. The team describes the place as devoted to creating a supportive and inclusive space for everyone, which is the point as much as the drinks are. Open Tuesday through Sunday from 5pm, with late nights on Friday and Saturday, and closed Mondays.
