Founded in 2001, Uptown Players is a Dallas-based nonprofit theatre company presenting professional plays and musicals that amplify LGBTQ+ voices and bring diverse life experiences to the stage. For 25 years, we have created opportunities for audiences to see themselves reflected in powerful, relevant, and artistically ambitious theatre.
Our productions explore the stories and experiences that connect us all, including relationships, family, identity, prejudice, and values. We serve audiences across the Dallas/Fort Worth area, welcoming LGBTQ+ community members, allies, and anyone who believes in the power of live theatre to build understanding and connection.
At Uptown Players, we believe everyone deserves to feel seen, represented, and welcome. Through bold storytelling and exceptional artistry, we create a space where diverse audiences and artists can come together, experience something meaningful, and find community.
