Woodcuts Gallery

Nashville, TN

Publicly ListedBlack-owned · Publicly Listed

Woodcuts Gallery & Framing has been a cornerstone of Historic Jefferson Street since 1987. Founded by Nathaniel Harris, our Black-owned gallery sits in the heart of North Nashville's Fisk University corridor, where we have spent more than three decades giving African American artists a place to show and sell their work, often for the very first time. Step inside and you will find an originals room filled with pieces by local and nationally recognized artists, alongside bins of open edition prints and limited edition serigraphs and giclees by African American masters. With artist and framer Omari Booker serving as curator, there is always something new on the walls. We proudly carry work by Gregory Ridley, Jamaal Sheats, James Threalkill, Ashley Seay, TWIN, and Booker himself. Woodcuts is also a full-service custom frame shop, so you can find meaningful art and have it beautifully framed all in one visit. More than a gallery, we are a gathering place that celebrates Black art, culture, and community on one of Nashville's most storied streets.
