An annual Dia de los Muertos cultural festival in Little Havana organized by the nonprofit Healthy Little Havana, centered on a community altar. It grew out of the group's public space work and its Transform 5th Street project.

Día de los Muertos, the Day of the Dead, is a Mexican tradition of remembering loved ones who have died, held around November 1 and 2. Celebrations often include ofrendas (altars), marigolds, sugar skulls, face painting, music and processions.
