About Taste of the Caribbean and Jerk Festival

A Caribbean food and culture festival on Hartford's riverfront, first held in 2006 by Caribbean community leaders and CAYASCO with host Riverfront Recapture. It features jerk and other Caribbean food, entertainers, vendors and a Children's Village.

Caribbean carnival brings masquerade bands in costume, steel pan, soca and calypso music, and island food to the street, usually with a parade of bands.
