Asian Pacific Fund

The Asian Pacific Fund is a Bay Area community foundation working to uplift Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians and Pacific Islanders by mobilizing resources and amplifying community voices to drive positive change and create an inclusive, thriving society. It focuses on philanthropy, community, leadership and awareness, with a particular commitment to the most overlooked and underserved members of the AANHPI community.

Through a network of more than 90 affiliate nonprofits, the Fund supports groups providing senior and youth services, health and well-being, counseling, legal aid, advocacy, civic engagement, and arts and culture. Its Accelerating Capacity for Transformation (ACT) for AANHPIs Fund gives a cohort of Bay Area nonprofits culturally relevant skill-building and mentorship so they can scale their impact, and the Fund shares research on emerging needs, including the 2026 report on AANHPI mental health and behavioral health models.

Students can apply for scholarship programs for undergraduate and graduate study, including the Banatao Family Filipino American Education Fund and the Shui Kuen and Allen Chin Scholarship. The annual Chang-Lin Tien Leadership in Education Award honors an AANHPI higher education leader with a $10,000 grant to establish a scholarship fund at their university. The Asian Pacific Fund Gala brings supporters together each year.
