SCV LGBTQ Center

The SCV LGBTQ Center stimulates community growth in the Santa Clarita Valley through inclusive and intersectional events, welcoming spaces and educational resources that support and empower the LGBTQIA2S+ community. It began in April 2020 when Finley and Dawn, a son and mother, saw the need for organized resources for LGBTQ people in Santa Clarita, and in May 2024 it combined with the grassroots group Queer SCV.

The center's signature event is the annual SCV Pride Picnic. Through the year it hosts a 21+ Monthly Meet Up at Eighth & Rail in Newhall, a Poetry Club and Book Club at the Stevenson Ranch Library, a Sunday Stroll at Central Park, Bi-Monthly Hikes at Towsley Canyon, and SCV Classics, a Monday night bowling league at Santa Clarita Lanes that raises money for the center. A collaborative calendar lists events from the center and PFLAG SCV.

The website is also a resource guide, with pages for crisis care, questioning, coming out, families and allies, transition and gender diverse resources, and faith, plus Community Voices stories, Queer Art and a partner program of queer-friendly local businesses and organizations.
