Dress for Success Denver

Dress for Success Denver empowers women to achieve economic independence by providing professional attire, job-readiness training and the development tools to thrive in work and in life. Established in 2006, the Denver organization is an independent nonprofit in the Dress for Success network and works from University Hills Plaza on South Colorado Boulevard.

The Suiting Program gives women who have completed job-readiness programs professional clothing and accessories for an interview, and lets them return after they land a job for what they need to start work. Access comes through a referral from one of more than 190 partner agencies in the Denver metro area. The Women's Employment Network brings job-readiness sessions on personal finance, transferable job skills, personal branding and managing change to partner organizations.

The Career Training Center offers virtual and in-person one-on-one coaching for resumes, software skills, mock interviews and job searches. Women who are working join the Professional Women's Group for skill-building, networking and support, and the group reports that 76% of members attending regular meetings remain employed. The Butterfly Bus mobile unit brings attire and job-readiness coaching to agencies across Colorado.

Donations of professional attire are welcome on monthly Donation Days, and volunteers can start with a DFS 101 orientation.
