OUTreach Delaware

OUTreach is a volunteer-powered LGBTQ+ nonprofit in Wilmington, Delaware, connecting people who care with projects that matter. Through community drives, service events and partnerships with local organizations, it mobilizes volunteers to support neighbors in need while building stronger connections across the city.

OUTreach volunteers organize food drives for local pantries, winter clothing drives for neighbors facing the cold, and community cleanups such as Clean-Up Day with the City of Wilmington. Service mornings with partner groups are a regular part of the calendar: at the Fall Harvest, volunteers join Planting to Feed, which grows fresh produce in community gardens and shares it through community refrigerators, to tend beds and harvest, then head out together for an optional social lunch. Every project doubles as a chance to meet people outside the usual nightlife settings.

The long-term goal is a permanent LGBTQ+ community hub in Wilmington: a café by day and social space by night, a home base for volunteers and a place for drives, cultural programming and resources.

Anyone can join the mailing list through the sign-up page to hear about upcoming projects, and each event has its own sign-up form with limited spots. Local nonprofits can request volunteer help through the partners form. Donations through Givebutter cover cleanup tools, event supplies, refreshments and printing, and help build toward the future community hub.
