Arc Broward

Arc Broward strengthens the community by empowering people with disabilities to grow, develop and thrive. Since 1956 it has worked with families across Broward County, and today it runs 21 programs at nine locations, anchored by its main campus in Sunrise.

For young children, Arc Broward offers a developmental preschool for ages three to five with teachers, therapists and behavior analysts, respite care, and a free Family Support Program with home visits and parent groups for families of children up to age 14. The ABLE Afterschool Program and Camp ABLE serve children and young adults ages three to 21 with developmental disabilities and behavioral challenges.

Teens and young adults prepare for adulthood through Youth Links, which combines career and life skills with paid summer jobs for ages 15 to 21, the School of Hire post-secondary program for ages 18 to 22, a Summer Youth Career Camp, and the Academy of Arts and Recreation at the Oakland Park campus for ages 16 to 26.

Adults find meaningful days in on-campus day programs with art, music, recreation and nursing support, and Arc Broward operates five group homes and Barc Housing, a 36-bed intermediate care facility in Davie. Arc Works helps job seekers with disabilities find and keep work, and Arc Educates offers accredited certificates in animal care, culinary arts, healthcare operations and material handling. Arc Culinary's catering and experience dinners fund job training.

Supporters can volunteer, join the 1956 Society, or attend the InspHired Luncheon, the Miss Arc Broward pageant and the Dwight Stephenson Golf Tournament.
