Transinclusive Group

Transinclusive Group (TIG) is a transgender-led nonprofit in Wilton Manors that advocates for the entire TLGBQ+ community and provides services for transgender, nonbinary and gender-diverse people and Black cisgender women, with a concentrated focus on people of color. Founded in 2017, TIG works to end discrimination, stigma and racial disparities by addressing the social determinants of health, from housing and income to access to affirming care.

The Drop-In Resource Center on the Equality Park campus offers computers and internet for job searches and applications, plus a free Community Clothing Boutique with outfits for interviews, court dates and everyday life. Case managers link clients to culturally competent resources, and HIV services include free, confidential in-home HIV testing, peer case management, free condoms, and linkage to PrEP, PEP, STI testing and mental health care. TIG also helps with legal name and gender marker changes, including fees and paperwork, connects clients to gender-affirming hormone therapy and WPATH letter referrals, links people to housing partners, and offers career coaching with resume building, GED prep and mock interviews.

The Transinclusive Emergency Crisis Fund, started in 2019, provides limited mutual aid to transgender residents of Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties. TIG hosts one of the largest transgender support groups in South Florida, along with the Harmonizing Masculinity Collective for transmasculine people and Sisters in Health & Unity for Black women and BIPOC women and trans folks.

Volunteers help at events and outreach, and donations keep the crisis fund going.
