Dress for Success Greater Chicago

Dress for Success Greater Chicago promotes the economic independence of women by providing professional attire, a network of support and the career development tools to help women thrive in work and in life. Its office is in downtown Chicago, and it serves women throughout the city and the Greater Chicagoland area.

Women are referred to the boutique once they have an interview scheduled. Volunteers help each client choose an interview outfit and offer guidance and support as she prepares for the interview. Beyond suiting, the affiliate offers a continuum of workforce development and employment retention programs, including career advancement, leadership, job training and career center services, built around confidence, networking and workplace skills.

Volunteers work as personal shoppers and as career and life skills volunteers who help with interview preparation, job search tips, resume and cover letter editing and LinkedIn guidance. Supporters can donate gently used professional clothing by appointment, host an approved clothing drive, give monthly through the Success Club, or partner as a company. The annual Women Wine & Wardrobe event and a spring Networking Luncheon bring the community together to fund the work.

All services and donations are by appointment, and referral agencies that provide job training or employment services can partner with the affiliate.
