Baton Rouge Pride

Baton Rouge, LA · Serving Greater Baton Rouge and South Louisiana

Serves LGBTQ+ individuals, families, and allies across Greater Baton Rouge and South LouisianaLGBTQIA+Registered nonprofit

Baton Rouge Pride provides resources, education, cultural celebrations, and community-building activities for LGBTQ+ individuals, families, and allies throughout South Louisiana. Founded in 2006, the all-volunteer 501(c)(3) public charity fosters unity and acceptance across the Capital Region. The organization is best known for organizing the annual Baton Rouge Pride Fest, which has grown from its inaugural 2007 gathering into one of the largest indoor, family-friendly Pride festivals in the South.

Held at the Raising Cane's River Center in downtown Baton Rouge, the annual festival provides a climate-controlled, accessible environment that welcomes thousands of attendees. The celebration features continuous live entertainment on multiple stages, regional queer performers, family activity zones, and an expansive community resource fair. The resource fair connects participants with inclusive healthcare providers, local advocacy groups, affirming faith organizations, and community resources, all free of admission fees.

Beyond the annual festival, Baton Rouge Pride conducts community programs throughout the year. Initiatives include the LGBTQ+ Business Directory, networking mixers through Business After Hours, Drag Story Time events for families, and the LGBTQ+ Parents of Baton Rouge support group. The organization also participates in regional youth outreach and civic events to promote equality and civil rights.

Community members interested in attending events, joining the parent group, or accessing directory resources can visit the organization website. Supporters can get involved by volunteering during Pride Fest, applying for vendor booths, or making tax-deductible financial donations to keep festival entry free for all.
