100 Hispanic Women National is a nonprofit organization dedicated to guiding Latinas towards excellence in leadership and empowering Hispanic women across academic, corporate, and public spheres. Established in 1996 in New York City, the organization has expanded to operate regional programs and active chapters spanning the Bronx, Long Island, Westchester, Rockland County, and Northern New Jersey.
The organization’s cornerstone initiative is the Young Latinas Leadership Institute, a comprehensive collegiate program operating in partnership with the City University of New York and other higher education institutions. The institute awards competitive multi-year academic scholarships, pairs undergraduate scholars with seasoned Latina executive mentors, and provides rigorous professional development workshops, resume coaching, and corporate internship opportunities that ensure high graduation and career placement rates.
Professional advancement and health equity are furthered through signature networking conferences and civic symposiums. The organization hosts the annual Mind, Body, Spirit Women's Conference, convening hundreds of Latina professionals and entrepreneurs for seminars on career progression, wealth accumulation, mental wellness, and healthcare advocacy. The organization also publishes the Aplauso quarterly newsletter and coordinates civic recognition galas honoring influential Latina leaders. Hispanic women and college students can apply for programs and scholarships online. Community members and corporate sponsors can get involved by joining as members, serving as student mentors, or funding scholarships.
