How supplier diversity certifications work

Supplier diversity certifications verify that a business is majority-owned, operated, and controlled by individuals from a specific group. Each certification is issued by an independent organization with its own documentation and review process.

Common certifications include WBE (women-owned, via WBENC), MBE (minority-owned, via NMSDC), LGBTBE (LGBTQ-owned, via NGLCC), DOBE (disability-owned, via Disability:IN), and VBE (veteran-owned, via NVBDC).

On Inclusivity.org, certifications are shown as neutral text badges with the source organization named. We never display official certification logos unless a business has documented permission and the logo is intentionally managed.
