Thrive Youth Center is a San Antonio nonprofit with one mission, stated in a sentence: to provide LGBTQ+ youth experiencing homelessness with a safe and supportive environment to facilitate their empowerment toward transforming their lives. The vision behind it is an equitable community where all LGBTQ+ young adults can flourish, and the phrase on the front of the building is simpler still. All are welcome here.

An emergency shelter on the Haven for Hope campus houses 10 young adults for up to six months, and a housing program funded by the Department of Housing and Urban Development places 45 a year in apartments of their own choosing across San Antonio. Street outreach, case management, counseling, career guidance, life skills and education support sit around both. The organization was established as a 501(c)(3) in 2015 and its phone line answers 24 hours a day.

The organization's mission statement, on its own About page, is "to provide LGBTQ+ youth experiencing homelessness with a safe and supportive environment to facilitate their empowerment toward transforming their lives", and its vision is "to create an equitable community where all LGBTQ+ young adults can flourish". Its own account of how it began describes a founder who set out to open the shelter she had needed and could not find. It is an organization rather than an owned business, so nothing here is a claim about who owns it or about any individual.

Identity and ownership tags are never inferred. Certifications and recognitions belong to their respective organizations.
