About International Black Theatre Festival

The International Black Theatre Festival, formerly the National Black Theatre Festival, is a six-day biennial gathering of Black theatre in Winston-Salem produced by the North Carolina Black Repertory Company. Founded by Larry Leon Hamlin in 1989, it presents more than 100 performances plus workshops, films and a vendors market.
