The Shoals Diversity Center in Florence supports LGBTQ+ people in the Shoals and Northwest Alabama through mental health support groups for all ages, referrals for complimentary counseling with local licensed professional counselors, and spring and fall onsite transgender health clinics with telehealth options. The center also leads community education programs for allies and advocates and organizes Shoals PrideFest at Wilson Park in downtown Florence, with local businesses invited to sponsor or set up as vendors.
