Dress for Success Palm Beaches

Dress for Success Palm Beaches helps women overcome economic disparity by providing professional attire, career development tools and a network of support, all at no cost. Part of the global Dress for Success network, it opened in 2010 and serves women from Palm Beach, Broward and Martin counties from boutiques in Greenacres and Belle Glade.

The signature Suiting program pairs each referred client with a volunteer stylist who helps her choose an interview outfit, from suits and dresses to shoes, purses and even scrubs for healthcare jobs. A career coach then checks her resume and interview skills. Once she is hired, she returns to choose a full week of work attire.

Road to Success is a free six-week job readiness program for women who are unemployed, underemployed or changing careers, covering strength assessments, personal branding, resumes, interviews and job search strategy, with a mentor for each participant. Graduates can join the Professional Women's Group, which meets monthly to network and learn about financial literacy, wellness, worker rights and career advancement. The Career Center offers virtual or in-person coaching on resumes, basic computing and interviewing.

Clients come through more than 80 partner agencies. Volunteers serve as stylists, career coaches, mentors, inventory helpers and subject matter experts, and young professionals 21 and up can join YES! Palm Beaches. Supporters attend the annual Style for Hope luncheon each March and the spring and fall Shop for Success pop-up sales, or donate clothing by appointment.
