Dress for Success SW Florida

Dress for Success SW Florida helps women build economic independence by providing professional attire, a network of support and the tools to thrive in work and life. An independent affiliate of the global Dress for Success network, it has served the region since 2010, and it runs its boutique in Cape Coral, in space shared with Guiding Grace Family Support Network.

Through the free Suiting program, women referred by partner agencies, or who self-refer with the online Style Kit form, meet one-on-one with a trained volunteer personal shopper. Together they choose interview clothing, shoes, accessories and cosmetics, along with encouragement for the interview ahead. Once a client lands the job, she can return for two weeks' worth of work attire. Dress for Success serves women entering the workforce for the first time, returning after raising children, or moving forward after recovery or abuse.

A partnership with Goodwill Industries of Southwest Florida adds Goodwill's three-day WorkAbility course on interviewing, communication and resumes, plus store vouchers for uniform basics. After starting work, women can join the Professional Women's Group, which meets quarterly for discussion, networking and professional panels, and the Retail Training Program builds retail and management skills in the boutique.

Call the boutique during open hours with questions. Supporters can donate clean, current professional clothing on hangers (plus sizes 18 and up and shoes size 10 and up are especially needed), volunteer as personal shoppers, attend Shop for Success, or give online.
