Arc of Walker County is The Arc chapter for Walker County, Georgia, bringing aid, resources and connection to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families. It advocates with and for people with disabilities, connects families with services and public policy, and keeps a resource guide on transition to adulthood, guardianship, Medicaid waivers, housing, employment and adaptive recreation. Parents, caregivers, siblings, educators and neighbors are welcome at meetings held at 6 p.m. on the second Thursday of every other month (January, March, May, July, September and November).
