Dress for Success Cleveland
Cleveland, OH · Serving Greater Cleveland and Cuyahoga County
Dress for Success Cleveland empowers women toward financial independence by providing professional suiting, workforce development training, and an ongoing network of peer support across Greater Cleveland and Cuyahoga County. Established in 1998, the organization works to eliminate socioeconomic barriers that hinder women from entering the workforce, helping participants build self-confidence and develop sustainable professional paths.
The agency's suiting boutique on Euclid Avenue provides clients with individualized styling consultations where volunteer image consultants help women select professional interview suits, casual business attire, shoes, and accessories at no charge. Following employment, clients return for additional workwear suited to their industry. Beyond clothing, the organization coordinates comprehensive workforce development programs that include resume writing clinics, mock interviews, computer software instruction, and financial management seminars.
To ensure sustained career growth, the organization coordinates the Professional Women's Group, a retention program that supports employed women as they navigate workplace culture, negotiations, and career advancement. Regular educational forums address financial capability, leadership development, and work-life balance. By partnering with regional social service agencies, corporate employers, and dedicated volunteers, Dress for Success Cleveland helps women cultivate the practical skills, professional connections, and inner confidence needed to build stable careers and generational prosperity for their families across Northeast Ohio.
