A two weekend pow wow and Native American festival held in a big top tent at International Market World in Auburndale, between Lakeland and Winter Haven. It features dance competitions, a Native village with tipis and more than 60 exhibitors.
What to expect
A powwow is a gathering of Native American nations and families with drumming, singing and dancing, often including dance competitions, a grand entry, and vendors selling crafts and food. Visitors are usually welcome, and the announcer explains when to stand and when photos are not allowed.
