Diversionary Theatre
San Diego, CA
Founded in 1986, Diversionary Theatre is recognized as one of San Diego’s best theatres, and proudly showcases the most vibrant and diverse group of talent the city has to offer. We aim to foster and amplify the next generation of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and other marginalized voices by providing the local community with live entertainment in a dynamic, inclusive, and welcoming environment that celebrates and preserves our unique culture. Along with live professional stage productions, we host a myriad of robust educational programs for ages youth to senior (55+), often free to participate. We are also a community gathering place for engaging entertainment in our Clark Cabaret & Bar, open nightly Wednesdays - Sundays, with mostly free arts & culture events such as live music, drag shows, comedy nights, trivia nights, karaoke, and more. You can see our full Cabaret and show calendars, learn more about what we do, and keep in touch with us at diversionary.org. Diversionary Theatre is also a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit organization.
