Serves Children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families in Cass, Pulaski, and surrounding northern Indiana countiesDisabilityRegistered nonprofit

Peak Community Services supports children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live, learn, and work with dignity and self-determination. Founded in 1954 as the Cass County Council for Mentally Retarded Children, the organization has expanded across seven decades, merging with Pulaski Developmental Services in 1995 and adopting its current name in 2002. Headquartered on Woodlawn Avenue in Logansport, the nonprofit operates community facilities, employment centers, and residential homes across Cass, Pulaski, and surrounding counties in North-Central Indiana.

Residential programming provides accessible living arrangements tailored to personal support needs. The organization operates 24-hour supervised group living residences in Logansport and Winamac, offering supportive homelike atmospheres with trained staff. For individuals seeking greater autonomy, the Community Living program provides individualized assistance in private residences and apartments, assisting with meal preparation, medication oversight, household management, and community navigation. In addition, habilitation day services deliver training in communication skills, healthy eating, personal finance, and social recreation.

Vocational development is anchored by PCS Industries, an ISO-certified production facility that offers vocational training and competitive paid employment in commercial assembly, packaging, and sorting. Through community employment services, job coaches provide one-on-one vocational assessments, resume building, interview coaching, and on-site job retention support with regional businesses. The agency also delivers Pre-Employment Transition Services to high school students with disabilities across northern Indiana, preparing youth for successful post-graduation careers. Individuals and family caregivers can reach out to the Logansport headquarters to discuss eligibility and services.
