The Arc of Plymouth and Upper Cape Cod
Plymouth, MA · Serving Plymouth County and Upper Cape Cod
The Arc of Plymouth and Upper Cape Cod supports individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, and acquired brain injuries throughout southeastern Massachusetts. Founded in 1966 as The Arc of Greater Plymouth, the agency expanded its geographic service territory in 2019 to ensure comprehensive coverage across both Plymouth County and the Upper Cape region.
The agency provides individualized Community-Based Day Supports (CBDS) designed to enhance personal independence, social interaction, and civic participation through volunteering, creative arts, and practical life skills instruction. Its employment services team partners with regional businesses to conduct career discovery, job readiness training, and on-site coaching that enables individuals to achieve fulfilling, competitive employment in community workplaces throughout the South Shore and Cape Cod.
Residential services encompass specialized group residences for individuals with acquired brain injuries, shared living matches, and Adult Family Care clinical support for family caregivers. In addition, the organization delivers autism support services, parent navigation workshops, specialized resource libraries, and social recreation clubs for youth and adults that cultivate strong community connections, self-advocacy skills, and lifelong peer friendships. Individuals and families can reach out directly for intake assistance, and supporters can contribute via online donations and community fundraisers that advance disability inclusion.
