Great Lakes Bay Pride

Great Lakes Bay Pride provides comprehensive support, education, advocacy, and social connection for LGBTQ+ individuals, families, and allies throughout the Great Lakes Bay Region. Serving Bay, Isabella, Midland, and Saginaw counties since 2002, the organization works to foster an inclusive, supportive community that inspires engagement, equality, and mutual respect across both urban and rural communities throughout the region.

The organization hosts recurring peer-led support groups, youth gatherings, and social networking mixers that give community members safe, welcoming spaces to connect and share experiences. Great Lakes Bay Pride also operates the Harmony Diversity Choir, a community musical ensemble that uses choral performance to promote diversity, acceptance, and inclusion across Mid-Michigan. In addition, the organization delivers educational workshops, resource guides, and Safe Zone cultural competency trainings to regional employers, healthcare organizations, schools, civic groups, and municipal partners.

Great Lakes Bay Pride coordinates the annual Great Lakes Bay Pride Festival, a major regional celebration featuring live musical entertainment, local artisan vendors, community resource booths, and family activities that rotates between regional cities to maximize visibility and community engagement. Through year-round programming, advocacy partnerships, educational presentations, and regional outreach, the organization builds a stronger, safer, and more welcoming Mid-Michigan for everyone across the four-county area.
