Jackson Pride Center

Jackson, MI · Serving Jackson County and South Central Michigan

Serves LGBTQ+ individuals, families, and allies in Jackson County and South Central MichiganLGBTQIA+Registered nonprofit

Jackson Pride Center serves as a welcoming community gathering space and resource hub for LGBTQ+ residents, families, and allies throughout Jackson County and South Central Michigan. Founded in 2017, the center is committed to fostering visibility, celebrating diversity, and offering affirming support in a region where dedicated queer gathering spaces were historically limited.

The organization maintains an open drop-in center that hosts recurring support groups, creative meetups, and social gatherings. Community members can participate in trans and nonbinary discussion circles, social game nights, artistic workshops, and family-friendly mixers. The center also provides educational materials, community lending library resources, and connects individuals with local affirming healthcare practitioners, mental health counselors, housing assistance programs, and legal assistance across the regional area.

Jackson Pride Center also organizes the annual Jackson Pride celebration, uniting neighborhood partners, community agencies, and local businesses in celebration and solidarity. By cultivating mutual respect, open dialogue, and active allyship, the center ensures that LGBTQ+ individuals in Jackson and neighboring rural towns have a safe, welcoming place to connect, access vital assistance, and find enduring community support. Through volunteer dedication, educational presentations, and grassroots community engagement, the center continues to expand inclusive opportunities and mutual understanding for all residents across South Central Michigan.
