Southwestern Michigan Urban League empowers African Americans and underserved individuals in Battle Creek and Calhoun County to achieve their highest human potential through economic self-reliance, educational achievement, health equity, and civil rights advocacy. Established in 1966, the organization serves as a cornerstone of community empowerment in Southwestern Michigan, working to eliminate racial disparities and expand opportunities for all residents across the region.
