Manchester, NH · Serving New Hampshire and northern New England

Serves LGBTQ+ singers, audiences, and community members throughout New Hampshire and northern New EnglandLGBTQIA+Registered nonprofit

The New Hampshire Gay Men's Chorus performs four-part men's choral music across the state to inspire appreciation for diversity and promote LGBTQ+ pride. Established in 1998 under the legal umbrella of the Manchester Performing Arts Association, the ensemble brings together tenor, baritone, and bass singers of varied musical backgrounds and vocal experience. The group presents two major concert seasons each year, including a holiday winter series and an uplifting spring concert series, with performances staged in civic halls and church venues across Manchester, Concord, Nashua, and Portsmouth.

Beyond ticketed concert series, the chorus performs regularly at civic events, interfaith services, and local Pride celebrations throughout New Hampshire. Outreach appearances enable the organization to connect with diverse audiences, support partner charities, and provide positive LGBTQ+ cultural representation in community gathering places. Choral repertoire spans classical pieces, Broadway show tunes, folk selections, pop standards, and contemporary vocal arrangements selected by the artistic director to convey messages of dignity, love, and acceptance.

Singers join the ensemble through auditions held at the start of each semester, with rehearsals focusing on vocal technique, musicianship, and ensemble camaraderie. The chorus is supported by volunteer accompanists, guest instrumentalists, and dedicated non-singing volunteers who assist with concert logistics, ticket sales, ushering, and regional marketing efforts.
