Serves Women seeking employment and financial self-sufficiency in the Tulsa metropolitan areaWomenRegistered nonprofit

Dress for Success Tulsa empowers women across the Tulsa metropolitan area to break cycles of poverty, enter the workforce, and build enduring economic self-reliance. Founded in 2003, the organization provides a supportive network that combines professional wardrobe styling with structured career readiness education and long-term employment retention tools.

The agency's Suiting Program provides women referred by local community partners with appropriate professional clothing, shoes, and accessories for upcoming job interviews. Volunteer stylists work individually with each client to choose attire that fosters confidence and executive presence. When a client successfully gains employment, she returns to receive additional work outfits appropriate for her specific job setting, removing immediate financial stress during her initial transition into the workforce.

Beyond wardrobe assistance, Dress for Success Tulsa delivers focused job training through its signature Beyond the Suit initiative. This four-day intensive cohort teaches participants essential employment navigation skills, including modern cover letter formulation, resume refinement, digital career profiling on LinkedIn, and professional interview etiquette. The program also integrates practical financial workshops on household budgeting and debt management. Program graduates transition into the Professional Women's Group, an ongoing fellowship that meets regularly to discuss workplace conflict resolution, corporate culture, work-life balance, and strategies for upward career advancement.

Women connect with services through partner referrals or by scheduling appointments directly with the South Harvard Avenue facility. Community supporters can get involved by donating professional women's clothing, volunteering as boutique stylists and career mentors, or providing charitable gifts.
