Hatboro, PA · Serving Montgomery and Bucks Counties

Serves LGBTQIA+ individuals, youth, families, and allies in Montgomery and Bucks CountiesLGBTQIA+Registered nonprofit

The SAGA Community Center, operating as a flagship program of The Welcome Project PA, provides affirming community gathering space, peer support, and holistic health services for LGBTQIA+ individuals and families across Montgomery and Bucks Counties. Based on South York Road in Hatboro, the center delivers comprehensive resources designed to foster authentic belonging, reduce social isolation, and champion human dignity for marginalized populations.

Mental health and peer connection form the cornerstone of the center's weekly programming. SAGA coordinates multiple weekly and monthly support groups catering to diverse segments of the community, including youth circles, transgender and nonbinary peer groups, parents and caregivers gatherings, and QTBIPOC discussions. In addition, the organization provides subsidized individual and family therapy through licensed clinicians on a sliding-scale basis, ensuring that essential behavioral health care remains accessible regardless of financial circumstances or insurance coverage.

Beyond direct clinical and peer support, the organization drives vibrant cultural engagement and community-wide celebrations. The center hosts the annual Bucks-Mont PRIDE Festival, a premier regional gathering celebrating LGBTQ+ culture with live performances, local artisans, and family-friendly activities. The agency also administers microgrants through its Gender Justice Fund to assist trans and nonbinary individuals with transition-related expenses, offers bilingual services and immigration toolkits, and maintains an affirming lending library where community members can borrow books and connect in a welcoming physical environment.
