Bend, OR · Serving Central Oregon

Serves LGBTQ+ individuals, outdoor recreationists, and allies throughout Central OregonLGBTQIA+Registered nonprofit

OUT Central Oregon serves lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer individuals, outdoor enthusiasts, families, and allies throughout Deschutes, Jefferson, and Crook counties. Founded in 2018 and based in Bend, the organization is dedicated to fostering an affirming high desert region through social community building, public education, and inclusive recreational programming.

The organization's signature annual production is Winter PrideFest Central Oregon, a multi-day winter sports and cultural festival that draws thousands of visitors to the region. Hosted in partnership with Mount Bachelor and local venues across Bend, the festival features guided alpine skiing and snowboarding groups, snowshoe tours, ice skating, and evening social celebrations. Winter PrideFest demonstrates that outdoor athletic recreation can be welcoming and inclusive, bringing together winter sports lovers from across the Pacific Northwest.

Throughout the rest of the year, OUT Central Oregon maintains an active schedule of community enrichment and educational programs. The organization hosts monthly social mixers, outdoor hiking outings, documentary screenings, and panel discussions addressing local civil rights, healthcare access, and allyship. By partnering with local businesses, mountain sports organizations, and civic institutions, the agency works to ensure that Central Oregon's civic and recreational spaces remain safe, affirming, and accessible to everyone.

Community members can connect with upcoming events and outdoor group excursions by subscribing to the organization's newsletter or joining its online community channels. Supporters can get involved by volunteering during festival weekends, hosting community gatherings, or contributing financial donations online.
