Terre Haute Pride Fest

Terre Haute Pride Fest is organized by the Pride Center of Terre Haute and held at Fairbanks Park along the Wabash River. The free afternoon festival includes LGBTQ+ friendly vendors, entertainers, food and activities for all ages.

The Pride Center of Terre Haute serves LGBTQIAP2S+ people, those who are questioning and their allies across the Wabash Valley. It is run entirely by volunteers, with board members who take part in everything from program planning and execution to fundraising and public relations. Its vision is an equitable Wabash Valley where LGBTQ+ people can live safely and openly.

The center offers a safe space to meet, socialize and find support, along with practical help such as assistance with legal name changes and document updates and referrals to LGBTQ-friendly local services. It also works on education and advocacy, organizing community events and workshops, collaborating with local organizations and businesses, and working to dismantle systemic oppression in the region. The festival is among the community events the center organizes as part of that work.

Pride events celebrate LGBTQ+ people and mark the Stonewall uprising of June 1969. Most combine a parade or march with a festival of performers, community groups, vendors and food.

The next edition is October 3, 2026. It usually falls first Saturday of October.
