Anderson Pride

Anderson Pride Fest takes place at Dickmann Town Center in downtown Anderson. It features music, a drag show, speakers, art and activities, along with local businesses and community groups.

Anderson Pride holds its festival at Dickmann Town Center, 1135 Meridian Street, in downtown Anderson. Entry is free and all ages are welcome, though organizers ask that children stay supervised and encourage guests to RSVP so they can plan for the crowd. The main Anderson Pride tent sits at the Three Graces Fountain inside the town center and serves as the place for questions, volunteer check-in and reconnecting with anyone who gets separated from their group.

The day is built around hands-on activities. The lineup has included community weaving, a community mural painted with Anderson Pride volunteers, button making with the Anderson Public Library, giant yard games, a STEM experience and a drumming and rhythm session. Arts and crafts sellers, public service groups and community resource tables are spread through the grounds, and Cultured Urban Winery has offered mocktails and non-alcoholic slushies.

Food vendors sell dishes such as hot dogs and vegan options along with lemonade, tea and coffee, and bottled water is available at the Anderson Pride booths for a $1 donation. Restrooms and first aid are on site, police provide security, and bringing weapons, alcohol or illegal substances is not allowed. Accessible parking, restrooms and viewing areas are provided. Visitors can park on downtown streets, in the garage at 11th and Meridian, or in the Anderson Public Library lot, and organizers ask that pets stay home.

Pride events celebrate LGBTQ+ people and mark the Stonewall uprising of June 1969. Most combine a parade or march with a festival of performers, community groups, vendors and food.

The organizer has not announced dates for 2027 yet. In 2026 it was held July 12, 2026. It usually falls mid-July (Sunday).
