About Bar Harbor Pride
Bar Harbor Pride is a volunteer-run celebration on Mount Desert Island. In 2026 it grew into a two-week, island-wide schedule that included a play, a contra dance, a game night, an arts and crafts fair, and a festival and march in Bar Harbor. The group also hosts events outside of June.
What to expect
Pride events celebrate LGBTQ+ people and mark the Stonewall uprising of June 1969. Most combine a parade or march with a festival of performers, community groups, vendors and food.
