Camden Pride

Camden Pride is a month of June events in Camden and Rockport produced by Birch Bark Events, with proceeds benefiting OUT Maine. The 2026 series included a brunch, a honky tonk dance, a costume workshop for kids, a drag day, and a Youth Pride Parade from the Rockport Public Library to the harbor.

Camden has long had Pride events, but organizers felt they were not well publicized. A group of queer Camden residents set out to expand the town's Pride calendar and gather every event in one place, so residents and visitors could plan the month in advance.

The organizers also work with local restaurants and businesses on fundraising events throughout June. All proceeds go to OUT Maine, a statewide organization that builds welcoming and affirming communities for LGBTQIA+ youth. The series is produced by Birch Bark Events, which handles sponsorship inquiries, and the events encourage visitors to support local businesses while connecting with the community. Evening events have been billed as a chance to dance under rainbow lights and share stories while raising money for the organization.

Pride events celebrate LGBTQ+ people and mark the Stonewall uprising of June 1969. Most combine a parade or march with a festival of performers, community groups, vendors and food.

Camden Pride has included youth pride parade, drag events and dance.

The organizer has not announced dates for 2027 yet. In 2026 it was held June 7-27, 2026. It usually falls june.
