Black Pride Colorado

Black Pride Colorado is a four-day celebration of Black queer culture, music, and community held during Denver Pride Month. The 2026 edition at X Bar on Colfax included a Kiki Ball, a house music gala, drag shows, and a Sunday gathering. Events are ticketed and 21 and over.

Black Pride Colorado is part of the Denver Pride program, which runs through June with events across the city and closes with a 5K, a parade and a free festival on the final weekend. Denver Pride is produced by The Center on Colfax, which has served Colorado's LGBTQ+ community for 50 years, and participation in Pride helps fund The Center's year-round programs and services.

The 2026 lineup opened with a Kiki Ball presented by OA Mother Juiccy Renaissance, with ballroom figure Dashaun Wesley as special guest. A gala after party called House Is Black paid tribute to Frankie Knuckles and the Black roots of house music, with local Black house DJs on both floors. A drag night hosted by Zarah Misdemeanor featured Kenya Pleaser of RuPaul's Drag Race.

The weekend wrapped up with a Beer Bust hosted by TS Madison, where $17 bought unlimited draft options and proceeds went to Black Pride Colorado, followed by a closing night of performances and special guests introduced by Madison.

Black Pride events center Black LGBTQ+ people. Many run over a long weekend, with parties, panels, health and wellness programs and community gatherings.

Black Pride Colorado has included ball, gala, drag performances and nightlife.

The organizer has not announced dates for 2027 yet. In 2026 it was held June 11-14, 2026. It usually falls mid-June, during Pride Month.
